REVEALED: Real Madrid 'had' Camavinga deal close to settled

Real Madrid had a deal in place for Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga earlier this season, it has been revealed.

Marca says Camavinga would have already been a Madrid player if the coronavirus outbreak hadn't decimated the football calendar.

Zinedine Zidane's side view the 17-year-old star as the ideal replacement for the ever-reliable midfielder Casemiro.

He is willing to sign for Madrid and is aware that he has to remain patient in order to secure his move to the Spanish capital.

Madrid - who were second in La Liga before the coronavirus outbreak stopped football in its tracks - are aware themselves that in order to sign Camavinga, they will have to offload players to ease their financial situation.
