REVEALED: Pep and Man City plot massive squad clearout

Manchester City are ready to clearout as many as 13 players this summer from Pep Guardiola's squad.

The Mirror says City are raising around £100 million on players that Guardiola has deemed surplus to requirements and slashing the club's wage bill.

City, who were the third-highest payers in the Premier League last year, have allowed the contracts of Pablo Zabaleta, Jesus Navas, Gael Clichy, Bacary Sagna and Willy Caballero to expire.

With Yaya Toure agreeing a one-year contract extension on more modest terms, City have already reduced their wage bill by a staggering £500,000-a-week.

They are also confident of landing buyers for the unwanted quartet of Joe Hart, Samir Nasri, Eliaquim Mangala and Wilfried Bony.

Fernando is also likely to leave, while fellow midfielder Fabian Delph's future remains uncertain, and Nolito has been targeted by his former club Celta Vigo just a year after his £13.8million arrival from La Liga.

Kelechi Iheanacho, Aaron Mooy, Jason Denayer and Patrick Roberts can move on, while Enes Unal has been sold to Villarreal.
