Atletico Madrid have earmarked their No19 shirt for Fernando Torres.

Torres is expected to sign for Atletico on Friday when the January market opens.

The former Atletico captain was signed permanently by AC Milan over the weekend from Chelsea, but will be immediately offloaded to Madrid.

With Mario Mandzukic taking the No9 shirt at the start of the season, Torres is happy to accept the No19 for this term. The deal for Torres will see him play on-loan to 2016, when his deal with Milan expires.

Alessio Cerci is expected to join Milan in exchange, though there is some hesitancy with the Italy winger preferring Roberto Mancini's Inter Milan.
