David Moyes rejected the chance to sign Edinson Cavani for Manchester United seven years ago.
The 33-year-old signed as a free agent with United on deadline day, agreeing a one-year contract with an option for another year.
But the Uruguayan could have been at Old Trafford much earlier.
According to The Athletic, Ed Woodward recommended Cavani to David Moyes back in 2013.
Moyes decided against the move as he was unimpressed with Cavani after three scouting trip, despite the striker scoring 29 Serie A goals that season.
He instead left Napoli for PSG and went on to score 200 goals in 301 games across a seven year spell.
