Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will lose out on a lot of money if his side fail to finish in the top four.
Mourinho did sign a new contract at United in January.
But The Sun reports that if Mourinho is sacked after the club are unable to qualify for next season's Champions League, his payout is far lower than the one year's salary he would otherwise command.
And it may be one of the reasons why United have not pulled the plug on Mourinho this season, given the team's poor run of form.
The Sun also suggests United will target Mauricio Pochettino when they eventually terminate Mourinho's contract.
