Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is delighted with what he's seen from Victor Lindelof this season.
ESPN says Mourinho has privately admitted that he has been impressed with the 24-year-old's intelligence - specifically his ability to learn new things quickly.
The Portuguese coach has had Lindelof on his radar for some time, with his initial scouting report coming while he was in charge of Chelsea.
At the time Branislav Ivanovic was on the decline and badly needed to be replaced - and Lindelof, who is also comfortable at playing at right-back, was earmarked by Chelsea scouts.
However, Mourinho did not last until the January window and was sacked in December 2015.
