REVEALED: Mourinho spoke to Spurs players after sacking for FOUR HOURS

Former Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho met with his players for FOUR HOURS after his dismissal on Monday.

The Telegraph says Mourinho's relationship with some members of the squad hit an all-time low following Spurs' Europa League exit.

Chairman Daniel Levy relieved Mourinho of his duties on Monday, just six days before the Carabao Cup final, with Ryan Mason being appointed interim head coach.

Spurs were sat seventh in the Premier League when Mourinho was dismissed and crashed out of the Europa League last month, with Dinamo Zagreb overturning a 2-0 first-leg deficit to win the tie 3-2 on aggregate.

Following a two-hour meeting with club chiefs on Monday where he was informed that he would be dismissed, Mourinho is said to have held a series of discussions with the players where he told them 'home truths' about their recent performances.
