REVEALED: Mourinho return discussed inside Real Madrid

Pundit Antonio Romero is reporting Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is prepared to bring back an old face to replace Carlo Ancelotti.

Ancelotti is expected to leave Real if the season ends without a trophy.

Speaking on Cadena SER, Romero revealed: “I think that Madrid is very interested in promoting (Alvaro) Arbeloa. There are other positions in the club that are very interesting, such as the second coach of the first team to arrive next season.

"They tell me not to rule out (Jose) Mourinho, and although it seems like science fiction to me, today it cannot be ruled out.

"Another name they tell me is (Zinedine) Zidane."

Mourinho has a year left on his Roma contract, while Zidane is a free agent and ready to return management next season.
