REVEALED: Man Utd want to sell six more defenders before window closes

Manchester United are hoping to engineer a defensive clear out in the remainder of the transfer window.

The Red Devils have made no progress on the incoming signings of Frenkie de Jong or an attacker.

The future of Cristiano Ronaldo has not been resolved either.

According to the Daily Mail, United are focusing on selling players to cull their bloated squad.

The source states that United want to sell six defenders before the end of the transfer window.

Alex Telles, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Eric Baily, Axel Tuanzebe, Ethan Laird and Phil Jones are all available for transfer or loan.

United may push for a defensive signing at right-back, if they can raise enough funds through these sales.

Out of the above-mentioned players, Laird is the one with a future at United, as he is likely to go on loan for first-team experience.
