Manchester United rejected a Juventus swap offer for Paul Pogba last summer.
The Italian giants are expected to re-visit their interest for Pogba next month after his agent, Mino Raiola, said he wanted to leave Old Trafford.
But they could have had their man sooner if United accepted a swap deal earlier this year.
Calciomercato claims Miralem Pjanic and Douglas Costa were both offered to United in exchange for Pogba.
But the Red Devils were not interested in either player and rejected the deal.
Pjanic eventually joined Barcelona while Costa returned to Bayern Munich on loan.
