REVEALED: Man Utd played behind-closed-doors friendly 24 hours after Brighton loss

Manchester United were involved in a behind-closed-doors friendly against National League side Halifax Town on Monday.

The Red Devils are attempting to give their fringe players game time at the start of the new season.

United played out a disappointing 2-1 loss to Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday, which was manager Erik ten Hag's first competitive game in charge.

Raphael Varane and Eric Bailly were both involved in defence for United against Halifax.

The likes of James Garner, Alejandro Garnacho and Anthony Elanga were also involved, as was Amad Diallo.

United are said to have won the game 5-1.
