Manchester United reportedly made four offers for Jadon Sancho in the past summer.
The Red Devils were eager to sign Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
But they could never meet the German club's £108 million valuation.
According to respected journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft, on the Here We Go podcast, United made several offers.
But none came close to what BVB wanted for the winger.
United's first bid was allegedly close to £50 million.
There were other offers in between, and their final bid came in at around £91.3 million.
But BVB had made up their mind to keep the Englishman for at least one more season at that stage of the window.
