Manchester United are again being linked with Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt.

United have an offer on the table to De Ligt.

BBC Sport reporter David Ornstein reported earlier in the week that United are the first and only club to have made a concrete offer for De Ligt, and will be waiting to pounce should talks with Juventus continue to stall.

"Recently I was told that the only offer that was on [Matthijs] De Ligt's table, of course more will materialise and a lot of it's verbal, but the only offer on his plate was from #mufc," he posted to social media.

“It was his choice that he didn't want to go there."
