REVEALED: Man Utd chief Woodward rejects more of Sir Alex suggestions

Manchester United vice-chairman exec Ed Woodward has rejected suggestions from Sir Alex Ferguson about a management restructure.

Sky Sports says Ferguson has recommended Steve Walsh for a consultancy role to mastermind changes to their club structure.

Walsh worked as head of recruitment at Leicester City, unearthing the likes of Riyad Mahrez, N'Golo Kante and Jamie Vardy as they went on to win the Premier League title in stunning fashion.

He departed for Everton where he spent two years as sporting director before being sacked last summer - but Ferguson reckons he has something to offer at Old Trafford.

However, Woodward has reportedly rejected Ferguson's advice as he is determined to bring in a former Manchester United player to fill the role.

The news comes after reports last month that Ferguson is feeling "hurt" after being frozen out at Old Trafford.
