Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly passed on the chance to sign two strikers after the departure of Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan.
Injuries have left the Norwegian short of attacking options, with Marcus Rashford also struggling to replace Lukaku.
The Manchester Evening News says Solskjaer rejected the opportunity to sign Mario Manduzkic and Fernando Llorente.
Solskjaer has seemingly changed his mind as Mandzukic will reportedly join the club from Juventus in January.
Llorente was a free agent at the time and eventually signed with Napoli.
