Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho's rift with Eric Bailly stems from last season, it has been revealed.
The Daily Mail says Bailly upset Mourinho back in April.
It is claimed the Ivory Coast international upset his manager by withdrawing from the squad to face West Brom due to illness and then reporting to to training.
The Baggies, then on the brink of relegation, nicked a 1-0 win thanks to Jay Rodriguez's 73rd-minute winner.
Bailly now finds himself behind Victor Lindelof, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones in the pecking order.
He has been limited to seven games in all competitions this term, with two of those appearances coming as an injury-time substitute.
Bailly is about to enter the final 18 months of his Old Trafford contract and could be sold in January to raise some funds.
