REVEALED: Man Utd boss Mourinho assesses Eintracht Frankfurt winger Gacinovic in Austria

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho flew to Austria last Friday night to watch Serbian winger Mijat Gacinovic, it has been revealed.

The Manchester United was operating incognito in the stands of the Ernst Happel Stadion in Vienna. Wearing a baseball cap as he tried to blend in with the fans, it was unknown why Mourinho had ventured out to witness, what was in the end, an enthralling 3-2 victory to Austria.

But the Mirror reports that the Portuguese went to get a first-hand glimpse at the Eintracht Frankfurt starlet.

The 22-year-old is one of the most exciting prospects in the Bundesliga and United aren't the only ones tracking him, with Bayern Munich and Arsenal also keeping tabs.

Nemanja Matic alerted Mourinho to the youngster's talents as he continues to search for a wide player after missing out on Ivan Perisic in the summer.

Gacinovic can operate on either wing, as well as central midfield, and with his young age, still has plenty of years to develop at Old Trafford, unlike 28-year-old Perisic.

Frankfurt only recently agreed to a new deal with Gacinovic, which means it would take a considerable offer from United to persuade them to sell.
