Manchester United's board insist manager Jose Mourinho's job is safe.
The Manchester Evening News says United insist 'nothing has changed' in relation to Mourinho's position amid reports linking them with a move for Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Mourinho still has the United board's backing and a senior source insisted the club are merely 'focused on the upcoming games'.
United have decided against releasing statements on Mourinho's position since they feel it could have the opposite effect and increase the pressure on the Portuguese if they issue a vote of confidence.
Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes issued a rare statement on Friday to clarify the Portuguese is not leaving United.
