Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has held face-to-face talks with Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong, it has been revealed.
De Telegraaf says De Jong and his agent Ali Dursun flew to England immediately after Holland's 2-2 draw with Germany to meet with Guardiola.
The City boss spent an hour with De Jong and Dursun laying out his plans for the midfielder. During the meeting, he also revealed he had spoken with Holland coach and former Barcelona teammate Ronald Koeman about the youngster.
De Jong and Dursun were impressed, but it's no certainty that City will win the player's signature.
Dursun has also met with PSG directors Antero Henrique and Maxwell in recent days, where the Parisians are prepared to go as high as €75m to sign De Jong.
