AC Milan defender Mattia de Sciglio is on Liverpool's radar.
Mediaset says Liverpool attempted to sign De Sciglio from AC Milan this summer.
AC Milan though, were not tempted into selling the Italy international and the Serie A club are now ready to offer him a new deal in a bid to extend his stay at the San Siro.
The defender's deal expires in 2018.
