But the former England captain, 36, has vowed to never play AGAINST his beloved Reds, who he led to a famous Champions League win 11 years ago.
And with Liverpool not in Europe's top club competition it leaves the door open for him to play for a leading continental side — just as former Galaxy star David Beckham did.
Becks had a six-month stint with Paris Saint- Germain before retiring, having also had two loan spells at AC Milan during his time in the MLS.
