REVEALED: Liverpool gave Klopp 4 options before Jota deal

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp had four options ahead of signing Diogo Jota from Wolves.

Former Wolves striker Jota has netted seven goals for the Reds already - including six in his last four matches, culminating in a hat-trick in their 5-0 Champions League thrashing of Atalanta.

The Times says Timo Werner, Ismaila Sarr and Jonathan David were their other options.

Werner joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig, while Watford's price tag for Sarr was deemed to costly so it's claimed the four became two, and it seems the Premier League champions got lucky by missing out on David.

The Canadian international wanted to play every week and joined Lille, where a route straight into the first-team was clear, from Gent.

However, he has not found it easy with the Ligue 1 club and has yet to score in 12 appearances.
