REVEALED: Liverpool boss Klopp only signed Salah after Draxler rejection

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp only moved for Mohamed Salah after being turned down by Julian Draxler, it has been revealed.

The London Evening Standard says Klopp only turned to the Egyptian international in 2017 after being rejected by Draxler.

It's claimed that the German international spurned his compatriot's advances and snubbed a potential move to Anfield to join petrodollar-fuelled Paris St Germain from Wolfsburg instead.

Since joining from AS Roma, Salah has scored 91 goals in 144 games including 70 in 100 in the Premier League ands gone on to become one of Liverpool's most-prolific marksmen of all-time.

Draxler, meanwhile, has struggled to get off the bench at PSG this season.
