Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah has emerged as the Premier League's most effective striker.
The Liverpool Echo says for victory over Crystal Palace, Salah's second strike was also his 50th Premier League goal. Coming in his 72nd game, only Andy Cole, Alan Shearer and Ruud van Nistelrooy have needed fewer matches to reach a half-century of goals.
However, the 26-year-old is actually the fastest player to reach such a landmark when it comes to minutes played.
Salah took 5,374 minutes to net his 50th goal, a whole 90 minutes quicker than second-placed Fernando Torres. Despite taking 81 games, Sergio Aguero is third, taking 210 minutes longer than the Egyptian, with Van Nistelrooy, Cole and Shearer next on the list.
