Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has opened talks about re-signing Gareth Bale from Real Madrid.
El Chiringuito says Levy has been in Madrid and took advantage of his trip to meet with Real president Florentino Perez. During the summit, Bale's situation was raised.
It's been suggested Levy has informed Florentino they'd be interested in taking back the Welshman. However, there's no word whether the deal would be settled for January or June.
A return to Spurs would have the support of manager Jose Mourinho, who pushed to sign Bale when in charge of Manchester United.
For his part, Bale hasn't hidden his admiration for the Special One, declaring just last month upon Mourinho's appointment: "Having [Jose] Mourinho there is an amazing statement from the club, I think he's a serial winner.
"Tottenham want to win trophies and I don't think there's a better partnership than Mourinho and Tottenham together to try and win some trophies."
