REVEALED: Lampard will receive three-year Chelsea contract

Frank Lampard is expected to receive a three-year deal worth £12m when he signs with Chelsea this week.

Derby officially gave the 40-year-old permission to speak with the Blues on Tuesday.

The Mirror says negotiations are expected to go smoothly over the £4m-a-year deal.

Lampard, 41, will appoint former Blues academy boss Jody Morris as his assistant after working together at Derby last season.

The pair will have to operate with zero transfers for two transfer windows thanks to a ban from FIFA.

Former Blues goalkeeper Petr Cech has already returned to the club in a director role, while ex-midfielder Claude Makelele is also expected to return.
