But that man will not be Jorge Jesus, who has just accepted the job as Flamengo head coach, reports the Daily Star.

Speaking on Youtube, South American journalist Thiago Asmar claims he met the former Benfica boss in recent weeks and heard first-hand how he had rejected an offer from Chelsea.

Jorge Jesus stated the reason he snubbed the English offer was because he wanted a bigger challenge.

The 64-year-old has managed 15 clubs during his career, most of which were Portuguese sides.
