Former Manchester City midfielder Jadon Sancho turned down an offer from Real Madrid over the summer, it has been revealed.

Sancho rejected a new contract offer from City to sign for Borussia Dortmund in August.

However, AS says the teen also was offered a move to Real, but chose Dortmund over Madrid.

It's suggested Sancho was concerned about Real's career plan for him after seeing the way Martin Odegaard had struggled with Castilla when he was first signed.

The midfielder helped England out of their U17 World Cup group this month before being recalled to Germany by BVB.
