Barcelona blundered their chance of signing Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard during initial negotiations.El Confidencial says Odegaard and his father met with former Barca sports director Andoni Zubizarreta before signing with Real.

It's alleged at the meeting, Zubizarreta informed the Odegaards that no deal would be signed unless they went through an agent which Barca would recommend.

The Odegaards were so upset by the demand that they promptly stood up and stormed out of the office before Zubizarreta had the chance to discuss financial terms.

Odegaard is now with Real's Castilla and is already off the mark for his new team.
