REVEALED: High-level pressure for Chelsea striker Morata to make Spain squad

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has a high level supporter in his bid to make Spain's World Cup squad.

Morata, after a difficult first season in England, is struggling to make coach Julen Lopetegui's final cut for Russia.

However, Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, speaking on El Chiringuito de Jugones, says outside pressure is arriving courtesy of sponsors adidas.

He revealed: "Adidas presses Morata to be selected. I do not doubt the impartiality of Lopetegui, but the brand wants him at the World Cup to play because he is one of its symbols."

Former Real Madrid striker Morata is a headliner for adidas and Inda says his inclusion is viewed as "fundamental" by the German sportswear giant.
