REVEALED: Ferguson wore Kendall's watch for debut Everton triumph

Everton caretaker coach Duncan Ferguson wore a watch of the late Howard Kendall for victory over Chelsea on Saturday.

Ferguson revealed Kendall's widow Lily gave it to him the morning of the game.

“It's Howard Kendall's. Lily gave it to my wife this morning and said she wanted me to wear it on the bench for Howard," Ferguson told the Mirror.

"I loved him. It was very emotional. The watch doesnae actually work. But there you go, it's nice.

“It's an amazing feeling, really. To get the result and you could just feel it in the stadium, couldn't you? Everyone was so happy, everything went well."
