Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer shut down their bid for Juventus striker Paulo Dybala over the weekend.
United and Juve were eager to do business for the Argentina international, but the forward had been hesitating.
It was claimed United pulled out of the deal due to the commission demands of Dybala's agent.
However, VG says it was Solskjaer who pulled the plug, unimpressed by the player's dithering.
A source explained: "Ole wants players who want to be with Manchester United."
