Patrice Evra has stepped in to help Manchester United sign former Juventus teammate Paulo Dybala.
United are in talks with Juventus for the Argentina international, with expectations inside both clubs of reaching an agreement by the Premier League transfer deadline on August 8.
For his part, Dybala is unsure about a move to England, particularly with United in a period of transition.
Gazzetta dello Sport says former United captain Evra has called Dybala this week about life at Old Trafford. The pair played together at Juve.
Dybala will spend these coming days to reflect and is due to meet with Maurizio Sarri tomorrow to learn where he stands in the new coach's plans.
Earlier this week, Juve vice-president Pavel Nedved said of Dybala: "There are some proposals, there is some interest, but we wait for concrete action so we can then decide calmly."
