Everton were a step away from a deal for Lille defender Gabriel before the coronavirus suspension, it has been revealed.
L'Equipe says two English teams, including Carlo Ancelotti's Everton, and an Italian club have made offers between €27m and €32m - bonuses excluded.
Furthermore, Gabriel was supposed to go visit some of the interested side's infrastructures, but that was before the coronavirus outbreak started.
So for the moment, everything is currently on hold.
For their part, Lille are preparing to sell Gabriel for €30m.
