Everton have failed with an attempt for Fiorentina striker Nikola Kalinic.
The former Blackburn Rovers forward was outstanding at times last season for the Viola.
Italian transfer expert Gianluca di Marzio reports Everton tabled a bumper offer for Kalinic last week, but it wasn't enough.
Everton bid €25 million for the prolific striker, but were infirmed Fiorentina would only sell for €10 million more.
It's suggested Everton only turned to Crystal Palace ace Yannick Bolasie after trying for Kalinic, though the pair are not similar players.
