REVEALED: De Gea commits to new deal at Man Utd

David de Gea has committed to a new deal at Manchester United, it has been revealed.

The Mirror says De Gea has signed a new deal with Manchester United - ending speculation over his future.

The United No.1, who was out of contract at the end of this season, has put pen to paper on a new four-year deal, with the option of an extra year.

Sources close to De Gea have confirmed the Spain international, recognised as the best goalkeeper in the world, has agreed to stay at United, rather than seek a move abroad.

United are expected to confirm the agreement within the next 24 hours, possibly before Saturday's game at home to Leicester , with De Gea understood to be earning a basic of £250,000-a-week, rising to £350,000-a-week with performance-related clauses.

Keeping De Gea is a major coup for United, who risked losing the 28-year-old for nothing after allowing him to enter the final year of his contract without having signed an extension.
