Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is a shock candidate to succeed Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.
Mourinho's job is on the line this week with United facing Valencia in the Champions League tonight and Newcastle United on Sunday.
RMC says feelers are already being sent out to potential replacements, with former PSG coach and United defender Laurent Blanc contacted, along with ex-Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane.
Conte is another under consideration, though he remains tied to Chelsea despite his dismissal at the end of last season. The Italian is seeking a pay-off before agreeing to terminate his contract.
Along with United, AC Milan are also in contact with Conte's minders.
