Chelsea were ready to send Fikayo Tomori to Everton this season, it has been revealed.
The deal was all settled, says Goal, until David Luiz quit Stamford Bridge for Arsenal on deadline day.
Tomori has gone from strength to strength under Frank Lampard this season having impressed under the Blues boss at Derby last term.
Things could have panned out differently for him, though, had Chelsea not been forced to offload Luiz back in August.
Tomori was all set to head to Everton on loan, only for Luiz's departure to mean he had to stay at Chelsea.
