Chelsea have joined the interest for Olympique Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
France Football says Chelsea have made contact with Ndombele's minders as they set up contingency plans in the event they lose N'Golo Kante.
Kante is interesting PSG, where sports director Antero Henrique has been told he can be signed for €90m.
As cover, Chelsea are making contact with potential replacements, including Ndombele. Also on their shortlist is Napoli midfielder Amadou Diawara and Nice's Jean Michael Seri.
Kante said last week: "The rumour about the interest of PSG? It does not worry me more than that. I do not pay attention to what is said about me.
"I'm with Chelsea and I play in the World Cup."
