Chelsea's board will decide the club's new owner - and not the Raine Group.

The Raine Group have played a key role thus far whittling down the large swathe of wannabe owners down to just four prospects.

But it's been reported that they are just advising Chelsea's board which is compiled of Marina Granovskaia, Bruce Buck, Eugene Tenenbaum and David Barnard.

Goal's Nizaar Kinsella reports: "Chelsea's board, which features Marina Granovskaia, Bruce Buck, Eugene Tenenbaum and David Barnard, will ultimately decide who owns the club in the future.

"Raine Group are not said to be making the choice and are simply advising."
