Both Chelsea and Arsenal couldn't tempt Kylian Mbappe from France before his move to PSG, it has been revealed.
The Daily Star says Chelsea and Arsenal both failed with bids to sign Mbappe when he was a child.
Former Gunners boss Arsene Wenger reportedly went to visit Mbappe and his family in personal in an attempt to move to the Emirates.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are understood to have given the 19–year-old a week's trial and employed Didier Drogba to try and convince him to join the Blues.
Both failed, with Mbappe remaining at Monaco before sealing a world-record transfer fee for a teenager when moved to Paris Saint-Germain, in a deal which was finalised this summer.
