Bayern Munich made a move for Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku a year ago, it has been revealed.
While he was with Everton, Bayern had the Belgium international under consideration as they feared losing Robert Lewandowski last summer, says BILD.
Ultimately, Bayern managed to convince Lewandowski to sign a new contract - and Lukaku eventually was signed by United for €85m.
In six seasons in England, Lukaku already has 101 goals - and at the World Cup he's scored four goals in four games.
