Barcelona's new signing Malcom is a Real Madrid reject, it has been revealed.

Barca rocked AS Roma yesterday by swooping for the former Bordeaux winger in a €41m deal.

However, AS says super agent Kia Joorabchian, who was working as an intermediary, offered Malcom to Real Madrid and Manchester United last week.

Real chose to pass on signing the Brazilian believing they're well covered in that position thanks to the presence of Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio.

Roma believed they had a deal worth €40m for Malcom before Barca's late approach yesterday.
