Barcelona players have a new nickname for superstar Lionel Messi.

Messi has been dubbed the "little dictator" by teammates, most affectionately, some not so much, says Diario Gold.

The source of the nickname comes from the Argentine's newly established formal role in Barca's transfer policy. As part of his recently agreed new deal, Messi now has official input on Barca's transfer plans.

Indeed, so much so, that Messi has demanded Barca end all long-term interest in PSG midfielder Marco Verratti.

The Argentine believes Verratti has gone backwards this season. He also feels the Italian didn't fight hard enough to join them last summer, with the pair even spending time together during their offseason break.
