Barcelona turned down the chance to sign Erling Haaland a year ago, it has been revealed.

Haaland left RB Salzburg last week for Borussia Dortmund in what is being seen as a coup for the Bundesliga outfit.

AS reports Haaland was offered to Barca a year ago, but the Catalans turned him down in favour of Kevin-Prince Boateng. Boateng spent six months on-loan with Barca last season on-loan from Sassuolo.

The striker managed just four appearances with Barca during his stint and left Sassuolo for Fiorentina last summer.
