Barcelona sports chief Eric Abidal has made a serious move for Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt.

De Ligt is a big money target for the Spanish giants.

And Catalunya Radio reports Abdal dined last Wednesday with De Ligt in Amsterdam, where a move to Barca was discussed.

It's suggested joining Barca in January was raised during the meeting.

"This is something that comes out in the newspapers, but it's not something that affects me," insisted De Ligt over the weekend.
