REVEALED: Atalanta still hope for Gasperini, Gomez peace

Alejandro Gomez is reluctant to force through a transfer at Atalanta.

While he's fallen out with coach Gian Piero Gasperini and has spoken out on social media about his situation, Gomez is reluctant to leave Atalanta.

TMW says the Oribici captain doesn't wish to leave Bergamo, or at least move too far away from the region.

Yesterday, after the pre-match presser, Gasperini and president Antonio Percassi met with Gomez in an attempt to settle differences. However, the meeting broke up with positions unchanged.

But everything could be settled tonight against Juventus should Gasperini hand Gomez a start. The Argentine was not considered for Sunday's 3-0 defeat of Fiorentina.

Those close to parties say the prospect of Gomez is leaving is far from being set in stone and that the situation can still be rescued.
