REVEALED: Arsenal pursuing Lyon striker Dembele for 5 years

Arsenal are pushing hard to sign Lyon striker Moussa Dembele this summer.

The Daily Record says Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is desperate to put his own stamp on proceedings at the Emirates and could be forced into the market due to a double striker sweat.

Star man Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has just 12 months remaining on his current deal and Alexandre Lacazette is a target for Inter Milan.

But the Gunners' attraction in Dembele isn't new, in fact, they have maintained an interest in him since 2015 and were reportedly ready to rival Spurs six months before his Parkhead switch.

They were strongly linked in the summer of 2017 and now appear keen with the potential of reuniting Dembele with his former Celtic team-mate Kieran Tierney.

And that could also have a knock-on effect for Celtic, which have a 10 per cent sell-on clause in Dembele's deal.
