Mesut Ozil recorded more chances in a single Premier League match than any other player in the 2017/18 season, data from EA SPORTS has revealed.

The Arsenal playmaker returned to form in emphatic fashion against Everton on Sunday, recording his first goal and assist of the season in the 5-2 win.

The German international went a long way to silencing his critics after he was instrumental in Arsenal's relentless attack on the hapless Toffees defence. Ozil set up eight chances throughout the match, taking his ratio this season to 19 minutes to every chance created - the best amongst all Premier League players.

With only nine months remaining on his current Arsenal deal, Ozil has been linked with an exit from the club, most particularly, a reunion with his former manager Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.

If he can continue performing like he did on Sunday though, Arsenal fans might be hoping he remains at the Emirates.
