REVEALED: Arsenal confident clause will convince Aubameyang to stay

Arsenal are counting on a little known clause in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's contract to convince him to resist a move to China.

News broke last week that Chinese Super LeagueGuangzhou Evergrande were interested in securing his signature.

But Kicker says Aubameyang will need to stick around at the Emirates in order to receive his £3.8m (€4.2m) bonus he gets at the end of every completed season at the club.

The former France youth international, who would be in line to earn £300,000 (€340,000) a week in China, joined the Gunners from Borussia Dortmund in 2018 for a fee of £56 million.

Aubameyang was keen to help Arsenal return to Europe's premier competition, but they could only manage a fifth-placed finish despite his 22 league goals.
